This Yoga Chapter is a special offer and is different from the regular yoga classes I've been teaching in the past months.

It is also a unique opportunity since I will not be repeating this series.

The body is not only the vessel, the temple or the tool.

The body is also our lifelong companion, who holds space for us when we cannot process something.

Sometimes we call this "illness".

Using our hands in skillful ways can bring awareness to our sensations, discomfort or pain.

This can be what we need to complete a process and release a symptom.

The invitation is to learn how to listen to our body with our hands and build a conversation of awareness and understanding in our physical realm.

During September and October we have 9 classes to focus on self-healing techniques from different paths.

While living in Argentina, I was a bodyworker for many years. I specialized in Abhyangam (Ayurvedic Massage), I learned some precious healing techniques from my parents and I also took some in-depth courses in an Osteopathy school about connective tissue that proved to be very effective, yet not very well known.

Once I moved to America I focused on Yoga and never actualized my certification as a manual therapist. All my knowledge about these therapies became my personal tools that I keep practicing as I need them.

I believe in sharing what we know and I'm sure every person taking these classes will resonate with many of these simple and powerful techniques.

This is not a professional training course. This is an introduction to manual skills for personal use.

The "yoga" portion of the class will be to tune into yourself and be better able to perceive the subtle effects of these manual therapies. Then, I will teach a very short introduction on the theory and share the most useful way to apply these techniques for personal use.

If they spark your interest to know more, I can refer you to some literature in most cases or we can, if enough people become interested, organize a workshop and include some printed material.

Some of the material I will be covering during these 9 classes:

Marma Points, Do-In, Zen Shiatzu, Shankhaprakshalana, Head zones, Palper-Rouler, Reflexology, Jin Shin Jyutsu, Ligaments Sideration, Knap points, Tracing, Periosteum activation.

*By attending any of these classes you understand that all what is mentioned during the class is not intended to replace or contradict professional medical advice and it is only intended for personal use and not for diagnosis or treatment of any medical condition.
